MODA DEA® "Cherish™": 3 (4, 5) Ounces No. 5714 Bubblegum CA, 2 (2 1/2, 3) ounces No. 5724 Blue Boy CB, 1 (1 1/4, 1 1/2) ounces No 5753 Tangerine CC.

Knitting Needles: 3.75mm [US 5]; 4mm [US 6].
Stitch holder, 2 stitch markers, yarn needle; four 5/8" buttons, sewing needle and thread.

GAUGE: 22 sts = 4"; 32 rows = 4" in pat on larger needles. CHECK YOUR GAUGE. Use any size needles to obtain the gauge.

To Fit Chest: 23 (25, 28)".
Finished Chest Measurement: 25 (27, 30)".

BACK: With smaller needles and CC, cast on 69 (75, 81) sts. Work in ribbing as follows:
Row 1 (Right Side): K1, * P1, K1; rep from * across.
Row 2: P1, * K1, P1; rep from * across.
Rep Rows 1 and 2 for 1 1/2", end Row 1. Change to larger needles and Purl 1 row. Now work in pat, noting Row 1 is the right side:
Rows 1, 3, 6: K3, * P3, K3; rep from * across.
Rows 2, 5, 7: P3, * K3, P3; rep from * across.
Rows 4 and 8: P.
Rep Rows 1-8 for pat until 12 1/2 (13 1/2, 14 1/2)" from beg, end wrong side row.
Divide for Neck and Shoulders: Keeping continuity of pat, work across first 23 (25, 27) sts; turn and put rem sts on a holder.
Dec 1 st at neck edge on next 2 rows – 21 (23, 25) sts. Work even until back measures 13 1/2 (14 1/2, 15 1/2)" from beg. Bind off.
With right side facing, leave center 23 (25, 27) sts on holder, attach yarn to rem sts, work in pat to end. Complete to correspond to first side.

LEFT FRONT: With larger needles and CA, cast on 11 (13, 15) sts. Purl 1 row.
Row 1 (Right Side): K3, [P3, K3] 1 (1, 2) times, P2 (3, 0), K0 (1, 0).
Row 2: P0 (1, 0), K2 (3, 0), P3, [K3, P3] 1 (1, 2) times.
Pat is now in position. Keeping continuity of pat, cast on 2 sts at end of every right side row 6 (6, 7) times, then cast on one st at same edge 8 times, working added sts into pat – 31 (33, 37) sts. Place marker at end of last row for center front edge. Work even in pat until 10 1/2 (11 1/2, 12 1/2)" from beg, end right side row.
Shape Neck and Shoulder: Bind off 2 sts at beg of next 5 (5, 6) wrong side rows for neck – 21 (23, 25) sts. Work even until same length as back to shoulder. Bind off.

RIGHT FRONT: With larger needles and CA, cast on 11 (13, 15) sts. Purl 1 row.
Row 1 (Right Side): K0 (1, 0), P2 (3, 0), K3, [P3, K3] 1 (1, 2) times.
Row 2: P3, [K3, P3] 1 (1, 2) times, K2 (3, 0), P0 (1, 0).
Pat is now in position. Complete to correspond to Left Front reversing all shaping.

SLEEVES: With smaller needles and CC, cast on 35 (37, 39) sts. Work ribbing same as Back for 1", inc 6 (6, 8) sts evenly spaced on last row, end Row 1 – 41 (43, 47) sts. Change to larger needles and Purl 1 row. Work in pat as follows:
Row 1 (Right Side): K1, * P1, K1; rep from * across.
Row 2: Purl.
Rep Rows 1 and 2 for pat, shaping sides by inc 1 st each end of next row, then every 8th row 9 times, working added sts into pat – 61 (63, 67) sts. Work even until 9 (10 1/2, 12)" from beg, end right side row. Bind off.

FINISHING- Button Band: Sew shoulder seams. With right side facing, smaller needles and CC, beg at top of Left Front neck edge, pick up and K40 (42, 44) sts to marker, 28 (28, 30) sts across shaped edge, 11 (13, 15) sts across lower edge – 79 (83, 89) sts. Work in ribbing same as Back for 1 1/2". Bind off loosely in ribbing.
Buttonhole Band: Mark straight section of Right Front center for 4 evenly spaced buttonholes. With right side facing, smaller needles and CC, beg at lower side edge, pick up and K11 (13, 15) sts across lower edge, 28 (28, 30) sts to marker, 40 (42, 44) sts to top of neck edge – 79 (83, 89) sts. Work in ribbing same as Back for 3/4".
Buttonhole Row: [Work in ribbing to marker, bind off 2 sts] 4 times, work in ribbing to end.
Next Row: [Work in ribbing to marker, turn, cast on 2 sts, turn] 4 times, work in ribbing to end.
Work in ribbing until 1 1/2" from beg. Bind off loosely in ribbing. Sew buttons to left front band to correspond with buttonholes.

Mark Back and Fronts 5 1/2 (5 3/4, 6)" down from shoulder seams. Place center of sleeve tops at shoulder seams and sew in place between markers. Sew side and sleeve seams.

Collar: Omitting bands, with right side facing, smaller needles and CB, pick up and K29 sts across right neck edge to shoulder seam, 4 sts down to holder, 23 (25, 27) sts across holder, 4 sts up to shoulder seam, 29 sts across left neck – 89 (91, 93) sts. K 4 rows. Change to larger needles and K all rows until 1 1/2" from beg, end wrong side row. Attach CC and K5 rows. Bind off loosely.
