BACK: Ch 61 (69, 73). Row 1 (Right Side): Hdc in 3rd ch from hook and each ch across; turn – 60 (68, 72) sts. Row 2: Ch 2, skip first hdc, * hdc in BACK LP of next hdc, hdc in FRONT LP of next hdc; rep from * to last st; hdc in top of ch-2; turn.
Rep Row 2 for pat until 16 (17, 17)" from beg, end wrong side row.
Shape Armholes: Keeping continuity of pat, sl st in first 5 (7, 7) hdc, ch 2, work in pat to last 4 (6, 6) sts; turn, leaving remaining 4 (6, 6) sts unworked – 52 (56, 60) sts. Work even until armhole measures 9 (9, 10)", end wrong side row. Fasten off. Mark center 24
(28, 32) sts for back neck.
RIGHT FRONT: Ch 31 (35, 37). Work in pat same as Back over 30 (34, 36) sts until 16 (17, 17)" from beg, end wrong side row.
Shape Armhole: Ch 2, work in pat to last 4 (6, 6) sts; turn – 26 (28, 30) sts. Work even until armhole measures 9 (9, 10)", end wrong side row.
Collar Piece:Work in pat across first 12 (14, 16) sts; turn, leaving remaining 14 sts unworked. Work even in pat until collar measures 4 (4 3/4, 5 1/4)". Fasten off.
LEFT FRONT:Work same as Right Front reversing armhole shaping and collar piece.
SLEEVE: Ch 29 (29, 33). Work in pat same as Back over 28 (28, 32) sts, shaping sides by increasing 1 st each end of 3rd row, then every right side row until there are 54 (54, 60) sts, working added sts into pat. Work even until 17 (17, 18)" from beg. Fasten off.
FINISHING: Sew shoulder seams. Sew ends of collar pieces together; sew edge of collar to back neck. Place center of sleeve top at shoulder seam and sew in place. Sew sleeve and side seams.
Body Edging-Rnd 1: With right side facing, join
yarn at side seam; ch 1, sc evenly around entire outer
edge, increasing or decreasing as necessary to keep
work flat; join with a sl st in first sc; TURN. Rnds 2 and 3: Ch 1, sc in each sc around increase or
decrease as necessary; join; TURN. Fasten off.
Sleeve Edging: Work same as Body Edging around lower edge of sleeve.
BELT: Ch 9. Work in pat same as Back over 8 sts until approximately 60 (60, 70)" from beg. Fasten off.
Sew button to left front edge approximately 16 (17, 17)" above lower edge or where collar stops folding. Attach yarn to right front edge and make loop of chain sts for button loop. Fasten off. Weave in ends.
