KNIT PILLOWS

MODA DEA® “Fur EverTM”: 5 Balls No. 3926 Red Hot CA and 2 Balls No. 3841 Blue Heaven CB.

Knitting Needles: 8mm [US 11].

Yarn needle, 14" pillow form; optional 1/2 yard lining fabric,
sewing needle and thread.

GAUGE: 13 sts = 4"; 21 rows = 4" in pat. CHECK YOUR GAUGE. Use any size needles to obtain the gauge.

TOP (Make 2): With CA, cast on 47 sts.
Row 1 (Right Side): With CB, Knit.
Row 2: With CB, Knit.

Rows 3 and 5: With CA, Knit.
Rows 4 and 6: With CA, Purl.
Row 7: With CB, K3, * drop next st off the left needle and unravel 4 rows down, insert needle in next CB st 5 rows below and under the 4 loose strands and Knit, catching the loose strands, K3; rep from * across.

Row 8: With CB, Knit.
Rows 9-12: With CA, rep Rows 3-6.
Row 13: With CB, K1, * drop next st off the left needle and unravel 4 rows down, insert needle in next CB st 5 rows below and under the 4 loose strands and Knit, catching the loose strands, K3; rep from * across, ending K1 instead of K3.

Row 14: With CB, Knit.

Rep Rows 3-14 five more times. Bind off all sts in Knit with CA.

FINISHING: If desired, cover pillow form with fabric. Sew Tops together on 3 sides. Insert pillow. Sew remaining side closed.

CROCHET PILLOW

MODA DEA® “Fur EverTM”: 3 Balls each No. 3926 Red Hot CA and No. 3841 Blue Heaven CB.

Crochet Hook: 8mm [US L-11].
Yarn needle, 14" pillow form; optional 1/2 yard lining fabric, sewing needle and thread.

GAUGE: 16 sts = 5"; 9 rows = 4" in pat. CHECK YOUR GAUGE. Use any size hook to obtain the gauge.

To Change Color in Sc: draw up a lp in last sc, drop color in use, with next color to be used draw through 2 lps on hook.

TRIANGLE (Make 8-four for each side): Starting at center of long edge, with CA, ch 2.

Row 1 (Right Side): (Sc, ch 1, sc, ch 1, sc) all in 2nd ch from hook; turn - 5 sts.

Row 2: Ch 1, sc in first sc, ch 1, sc in ch-1 sp, ch 2, skip next sc, sc in next ch-1 sp, ch 1, sc in last sc; turn - 8 sts.

Row 3: Ch 1, sc in first sc, ch 1, sc in ch-1 sp, ch 1, skip next sc, (sc, ch 2, sc) all in ch-2 sp, ch 1, skip next sc, sc in ch-1 sp, ch 1, sc in last sc; turn - 12 sts.

Row 4: Ch 1, sc in first sc, ch 1, [sc in ch-1 sp, ch 1, skip next sc] twice, (sc, ch 2, sc) all in ch-2 sp, [ch 1, skip next sc, sc in next ch-1 sp] twice, ch 1, sc in last sc; turn - 16 sts.

Row 5: Ch 1, sc in first sc, ch 1, [sc in ch-1 sp, ch 1, skip next sc] 3 times, (sc, ch 2 sc) all in ch-2 sp, [ch 1, skip next sc, sc in next ch-1 sp] 3 times, ch 1, sc in last sc; turn - 20 sts.

Row 6: Ch 1, sc in first sc, ch 1, * sc in ch-1 sp, ch 1, skip next sc; rep from * to ch-2 sp; (sc, ch 2, sc) all in ch-2 sp; ** ch 1, skip next sc, sc in next ch-1 sp; rep from ** to last sc; ch 1, sc in last sc changing to CB; turn.

Rows 7-12: With CB, rep Row 6 changing to CA in last sc of Row 12.

Rows 13-16: With CA, rep Row 6. Do not change color. Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing.

FINISHING: If desired, cover pillow form with fabric. Sew 4 triangles together to make a square. Sew squares together on 3 sides. Insert pillow. Sew remaining side closed.
