Scarf measures approximately 10" wide x 72" long without fringe.

Knitting Needles: 15mm [US 19] and 9mm [US 13].

Crochet Hook: 5mm [US H-8].

4 Stitch markers; yarn needle.

GAUGES: 8 sts = 4"; 10 rows = 4" in Garter stitch with larger needles. 11 sts = 4"; 13 rows = 4" in 2 x 2 ribbing with smaller needles. CHECK YOUR GAUGE. Use any size needle to
obtain the gauges.

To Fit Bust: 32-34 (36-38, 40-42, 44-46)".

NOTE: Use 1 strand of each yarn held together throughout.

SCARF: With larger needles, cast on 21 sts. Work in Garter stitch (K every row) until approximately 72" from beginning. Bind off.

POCKETS (Make 2): With smaller needles, cast on 18 sts. Work in ribbing as follows:
Row 1 (Right Side): K2, * P2, K2; rep from * across.
Row 2: P2, * K2, P2; rep from * across. Rep Rows 1 and 2 for ribbing until approximately 7" from beginning, end by working Row
2. Bind off in ribbing.

COLLAR: With smaller needles, cast on 82 sts. Work in ribbing same as for Pockets until approximately 81/2" from beginning, end by working Row 2. Bind off in ribbing with larger needle.

FINISHING: With right side of scarf facing, mark one long edge 28" from one end and 25" from the opposite end. With right side of Collar facing, center the Collar over the remaining 19" between markers, gathering to fit, and sew in place. With markers still in place, mark the 28" edge at 14" from the end of the scarf for the lower edge of a pocket. Mark the 25" edge at 5" from the end of the scarf for the lower edge of the second pocket.

With right side of scarf and pockets facing, center pockets on the scarf with lower edge at markers and sew in place along lower edge and 2 sides.

FRINGE: Cut 16" lengths of yarn. Holding 4 strands together (2 of each yarn), fold in half, forming a loop. Insert crochet hook from the wrong side of the fabric into one stitch at narrow end of scarf and into the loop; draw the loop through the fabric for about 1", then draw the cut ends through the loop and tighten. Repeat in every stitch across both ends of the scarf. Trim ends.
