Divide for Neck/Shoulder: Keeping continuity of pat, work first 17 (18, 18, 19, 20) sts, turn and put rem sts on a holder. Bind off 3 (2, 2, 2, 2) sts at beg of next 2 wrong side rows – 11 (14, 14, 15, 16) sts. Dec 1 st at neck edge every right side row 0 (1, 1, 1, 2) times – 11 (13, 13, 14, 14) sts. Work a few rows even until 11 (12, 131/4, 141/2, 151/2)" from beg. Bind off. With right side facing, leave center 10 (12, 14, 14, 16) sts on holder, join yarn to rem sts, bind off 3 (2, 2, 2, 2) sts, work in pat to end. Complete to correspond to first side, reversing shapings.

SLEEVES (Make 2): With CB, cast on 24 (26, 28, 30, 32) sts. Work in Bobble pat same as for first (5th, 2nd, 3rd, 4th) size, beg Row 5, end Row 10 inc 1 st each end of last row – 26 (28, 30, 32, 34) sts. Join CA, cut CB.Work in Basket Weave pat same for 3rd (2nd, 3rd, 2nd, 3rd) size, beg Row 1, shaping sides by inc each end of every 4 (4, 5, 6, 6)th row, until there are 38 (40, 42, 44, 48) sts, working added sts into pat. Work even until 71/2 (8, 81/2, 9, 10)" from beg. Bind off in pat.

FINISHING-Neckband: Sew right shoulder seam. With right side facing and CA, [pick up and K8 (9, 9, 10, 10) sts down neck edge, K10 (12, 14, 14, 16) sts from holder, pick up 8 (9, 9, 10, 10) sts up neck edge] twice – 52 (60, 64, 68, 72) sts. Next Row: * K2, P2; rep from * across. Rep last row for 31/2 (31/2, 4, 4, 4 1/2)". Bind off in pat.

Mark positions for 2 button lps on left front shoulder and 1 button lp at neck edge. With right side facing, join CA to left front shoulder; ch 1, [sc to marker, ch 4] 3 times, work 1 more sc. Fasten off. Tack left shoulder edges together at sleeve side.

Mark 41/2 (43/4, 5, 51/4, 51/2)" down from shoulders on front and back. Place center of sleeve tops at shoulder seams and sew in place between markers. Sew side and sleeve seams. Sew buttons to left back shoulder.
