With CA ch 4; join with a sl st to form a ring.
Rnd 1 (Wrong Side): Ch 3, 11 dc in ring; join with a sl st

Rnds 2 and 3: Ch 3, dc in same st as joining, 2 dc in each
dc around; join in top of ch-3 – 48 sts at end of Rnd 3.
Rnd 4: Ch 3, dc in each dc around; join.
Rnd 5: Ch 3, dc in next 4 dc, 2 dc in next dc, [dc in next 5

SCARF
With CA, ch 18.
Row 1 (Right Side): Dc in 4th ch from hook and in
each ch across; turn – 16 sts.
Row 2: Ch 3, skip first dc, dc in each dc across, dc in top
of ch-3; turn.
Rep Row 2 until scarf measures about 56”. Fasten off
ending with a right side row.

Edging:With right side facing, join CB at short end.
Row 1 (Right Side): Ch 2, FPdc around next st, * BPdc
around next st, FPdc around next st; rep from * across; turn.
Rows 2 and 3: Rep Row 1. Fasten off. Weave in ends.
Rep on opposite short end.

MITTENS
Note: Mittens are worked in continuous rnds on wrong
side; do not join rnds; mark first st.

Rnd 1 (Wrong Side): With CA, ch 2; 6 sc in 2nd ch
from hook – 6 sc.
Rnds 2 and 3: 2 Sc in each sc around – 24 sc at end of
Rnd 3.
Rnd 4: Sc in each sc around.
Rep Rnd 4 until 5” from beg.

Thumb Opening-Rnd 1: Sc in first 10 sc, ch 6, skip next
4 sc, sc in next 10 sc.
Rnd 2: Sc in each sc and ch around – 26 sc.
Rnd 3: Sc in each sc around.
Rep Rnd 3 until 1 3/4” above thumb opening. Fasten off.

Thumb-Rnd 1: With wrong side facing, join CA with sc at
thumb opening; work 11 more sc around opening – 12 sc.
Rnd 2: Sc in each sc around.
Rep Rnd 2 until thumb measures 1 3/4”.

Next Rnd: [Skip next sc, sc in next sc] 6 times – 6 sc.
Last Rnd: [Skip next sc, sc in next sc] 3 times – 3 sc.
Fasten off. Weave in ends closing last stitches. Turn mitten
right side out.

Cuff-Rnd 1: With right side facing, join CB in any sc; ch
