YOUR GAUGE. Use any
size needles to obtain the gauge.
To Fit Bust: 30-32 (32-34, 36-38, 40-42)”.
Finished Bust: 35 (37, 39, 41)”.
NOTE: Hold one strand each CA and CB together
as
one throughout.
BACK: Cast on 48 (51, 54, 57) sts. Noting that
first row is
the right side of the fabric, K every row until 10 (10 1/2, 10
1/2, 11)” from beg, end wrong side row.
Shape Armholes: Bind off 4 (4, 5, 5) sts at beg
of next
2 rows – 40 (43, 44, 47) sts. Work even until 19 (19 1/2,
20, 20 1/2)” from beg, end wrong side row.
Shape Shoulders: Bind off 5 (5, 5, 6) sts at beg
of next
2 rows. Bind off 6 (7, 7, 7) sts at beg of next 2 rows. Bind
off rem 18 (19, 20, 21) sts.
RIGHT FRONT: Cast on 21 (21, 23, 24) sts. Noting
that
first row is the right side of the fabric, K every row, shaping
at center front edge by inc 1 st at beg of 7 (9, 9, 7)th
row, then at same edge every 8 (10, 10, 6)th row until
there are 24 (25, 27, 28) sts. Place a marker at beg
(center front edge) of last row for button loop.
Work even until front measures same as back to armhole,
end right side row. Place a marker at beg (center
front edge) of last row for button loop and beg of collar.
Shape Armhole: Bind off 4 (4, 5, 5) sts at beg
of next row.
Shape Front Slope: Dec 1 st at neck edge at beg
of
next row, then at same edge every 3rd row until 11 (12, 12,
13) sts rem. Work even until 9 (9, 9 1/2, 9 1/2)” above
armhole bind-off, end right side row.
Shape Shoulder: Bind off 5 (5, 5, 6) sts at beg
of next
row. K 1 row. Bind off rem 6 (7, 7, 7) sts.
LEFT FRONT: Work same as Right Front, reversing
shapings and marker placements.
SLEEVES: Cast on 24 (26, 28, 30) sts. Noting that
first
row is the right side of the fabric, K every row, shaping
sides by inc 1 st each end of 7th row, then every 6th row
until there are 48 (50, 52, 54) sts. Work even until 16 (17,
17 1/2, 18)” from beg. Bind off. Upper 1 3/4 (1 3/4, 2, 2)”
of
sleeve will be sewn to armhole bind-off of fronts and back.
FINISHING-Collar: Sew shoulder seams. Beg at top
marker of Right Front, pick up and K31 (33, 33, 35) sts up
to shoulder seam, 18 (19, 20, 21) sts across back neck,
and 31 (33, 33, 35) sts down to top marker of Left Front –
80 (85, 86, 91) sts. K 2 rows. Next 10 Rows: K2tog, K to last 2 sts, K2tog –
60 (65,
66, 71) sts at end of last row. Bind off 3 sts at beg of next
4 rows – 48 (53, 54, 59) sts. Bind off loosely.
Sew side seams. Place center of sleeve top at shoulder
seam and sew in place, sewing armhole bind-off of fronts
and back to upper straight edge of sleeve. Sew sleeve seam.
With right side facing and crochet hook, work sc from bottom
edge of right front up to collar marker. Fasten off. Rep
along left front from collar marker down to bottom edge.
Place button loops on right front edge adjacent to
markers; sew firmly in place. Sew buttons on left front to
correspond with loops. Tack bottom edges of collar to
prevent curling.
