One size fits most women. Scarf measures approximately 5 1/2” x 66”.

CAP:
MODA DEA™ “Eden™”, Art. R116 (1.76 ounce/83 yard ball): 1 Ball each No. 5378 Apple CA and No. 5254 Flame CB.

Knitting Needles: 9mm [US 13], 10mm [US 15].
Yarn needle, stitch marker, 4” cardboard.

SCARF:
MODA DEA™ “Eden™”, Art. R116 (1.76 ounce/83 yard ball): 2 Balls each No. 5378 Apple CA and No. 5254 Flame CB.

Circular Knitting Needle: 10mm [US 15] – 29”.
Yarn needle, stitch marker.

GAUGE: CAP:10 sts = 4”; 8 rows = 3” with one strand each CA and CB held tog over Elongated Stitch Pat I and larger needles. CHECK YOUR GAUGE. Use any size needles to obtain the gauge.

SCARF:19 sts = 10”; 4 rows = 1 3/4” with one strand each CA and CB held tog over Elongated Stitch Pat II.

CAP:
Hat Circumference = 20”.With smaller needles and 1 strand each CA and CB held together as one throughout, cast on 50 sts. Marking first row as the right side, K 6 rows.Change to larger needles and

Elongated Stitch Pat I:

Row 1 (Right Side): K1, * yo, K1; rep from * across.
Row 2: K1, * drop yo from needle, K1; rep from * across – 50 sts.
Row 3: K.
Row 4: K.Rep Rows 1-4 once more, then rep Rows 1-3 once more.
First Decrease Row: * K2tog; rep from * across – 25 sts.Rep Rows 1-3.
Second Decrease Row: K1, * K2tog; rep from * across – 13 sts.
Third Decrease Row: K1, * K2tog; rep from * across – 7 sts. Cut yarns, leaving long tails for sewing seam.

FINISHING: Weave yarn through rem sts, draw up tightly, fasten securely. Sew back seam.

Pompom: Cut a 10” length of CA/CB and set aside. Wrap CA/CB around the 4” cardboard 50 times. Carefully slip yarn wraps off cardboard; Use the 10” length to tie tightly at center of wraps. Cut yarn loops and trim cut ends into pompom shape. Use ends of 10” length to fasten pompom at top center of cap.

SCARF:
With 1 strand each CA and CB held together as one throughout, loosely cast on 125 sts. Marking first row as the right side, K2 rows.Now work in Elongated Stitch Pat II:

Row 1 (Right Side): K1, * [yo] twice, K1; rep from * across.
Row 2: K1, * drop both yo’s from needle, K1; rep from * across – 125 sts.
Row 3: K.
Row 4: K.Rep Rows 1-4 once more, then rep Rows 1-3 once more. Bind off all sts loosely.

FINISHING: Make 2 pompoms same as for Cap. Gather each end of scarf. Fasten one pompom on each end.
