Knitting Needles: 8mm [US 11].
Yarn needle.

GAUGE: 14 sts = 5"; 14 rows = 4" with 2 strands held together in St st on larger needles. CHECK YOUR GAUGE. Use any size needles to obtain the gauge.

SSK = Slip next 2 sts knitwise, one at a time, then K these 2 sts tog from this position.

Divide for Neck: Keeping continuity of pat, work 20 (25) sts, join a 2nd strand CA/CB and bind off center 19 (23) sts, work to end. Working both sides at the same time, bind off 3 (4) sts at each neck edge once, then bind off 2 (3) sts at same edge once – 15 (18) sts each side. Work even until 22 (24)" from beg. Bind off for shoulders.

SLEEVES: Cast on 41 (47) sts. P 1 wrong side row.
Row 1 (Right Side): K1 (4), rep Row 1 same as for back to last 1 (4) sts; K1 (4) – 47 (53) sts.

Row 2 AND EVERY WRONG SIDE ROW: P, working double yo as follows: K1, P1 – 47 (53) sts.Work in pat same as Back EXCEPT work first and last 1 (4) sts in St st. Work until 15" from beg. Bind off.

FINISHING: Sew shoulder seams. Place center of sleeve top at shoulder seams and sew in place. Sew side and sleeve seams.

Neck Edging: With right side facing and crochet hook, attach yarns at a shoulder seam; ch 1, work sc evenly spaced around neck edge, taking care to keep work flat; join with a sl st to first sc. Fasten off. Weave in ends.
