MODA DEA™ "Zing™", Art. R115 (1.76 ounce/87 yard ball): 5 (6, 7, 8) Balls No. 1373 Pink Cosmo.

Knitting Needles: 3.5mm [US 4] and 4mm [US 6].
2 Stitch holders; yarn needle; one 3/4" button; sewing needle and thread.

GAUGE: 22 sts = 4"; 30 rows = 4" in St st with larger needles. CHECK YOUR GAUGE. Use any size needles to obtain the gauge.

To Fit Chest: 20 (22, 24, 26)".
Finished Chest: 25 (27 1/4, 30, 32)".

SPECIAL ABBREVIATION:
ssk = Slip next 2 sts knitwise one at a time, insert left needle into the fronts of these sts and K2tog from this position.


BODY (Worked in one piece to armholes): With smaller needles, cast on 138 (150, 164, 176) sts. Marking first row as the right side, K every row for approximately 1", end wrong side row. Change to larger needles and St st, beg K row, and work even until 6 (7 1/2, 8, 9)" from beg, end P row.

Divide for Armholes-Right Front: K34 (37, 41, 44) sts, turn. Work even until 10 1/4 (12 1/4, 12 3/4, 13 3/4)" from beg, end P row.

Buttonhole Row: K2, yo, ssk, K to end. P 1 row.
Shape Neck: Bind off 6 (6, 6, 7) sts at beg of next row – 28 (31, 35, 37) sts. P 1 row. Dec 1 st at neck edge every K row 4 (4, 6, 6) times – 24 (27, 29, 31) sts. Work even if necessary until 12 (14, 15, 16)" from beg, end P row. Bind off rem sts for shoulder.

Back: With right side facing, join yarn and K next 70 (76, 82, 88) sts of last long row; turn. Work even until back measures same as right front to shoulder, end P row.
Shape Shoulders: Bind off 24 (27, 29, 31) sts, cut yarn, slip center 22 (22, 24, 26) sts onto holder for back neck, join yarn and bind off rem 24 (27, 29, 31) sts.

Left Front: With right side facing, join yarn and K across rem 34 (37, 41, 44) sts. Work same as right front until 10 1/2 (12 1/2, 13, 14)" from beg, end K row.
Shape Neck: Bind off 6 (6, 6, 7) sts at beg of next row – 28 (31, 35, 37) sts. Dec 1 st at neck edge every K row 4 (4, 6, 6) times – 24 (27, 29, 31) sts. Work even if necessary until 12 (14, 15, 16)" from beg, end P row. Bind off rem sts for shoulder.

SLEEVES: With smaller needles, cast on 50 (52, 55, 58) sts. Marking first row as the right side, K every row for 1", end wrong side row. Change to larger needles and St st, beg K row, shaping sides by inc 1 st each end of every K row 0 (4, 5, 1) times, then every 4th row 8 (6, 6, 9) times – 66 (72, 77, 78) sts. Work even until 6 1/4 (6 1/2, 6 1/2, 7 1/4)" from beg, end P row. Bind off.


FINISHING-Neck Band: Sew shoulder seams. With right side facing and smaller needles, beg at right front neck edge, pick up and K58 (58, 68, 72) sts around neck edge including sts from holder. K 1 row. Bind off knitwise loosely.

Front Edges: With right side of left front facing and smaller needles, pick up and K62 (72, 76, 80) sts evenly along left front edge. K 1 row. Bind off knitwise loosely.

Repeat for right front.

Sew sleeve seams. Set in sleeves. Sew button to left front to correspond to buttonhole.
