GAUGE: 8 sc = 4"; 8 rows = 4" in pat.
CHECK YOUR GAUGE. Use any size hook to obtain the gauge.
COLLAR: Ch 12. Row 1 (Right Side): Sc in 2nd ch from hook and
in each ch across; turn – 11 sc.
Row 2: Ch 3, skip first sc, dc in each sc across;
turn.
Row 3-SHORT ROW: Ch 1, sc in first 10 dc; turn
leaving last st unworked. Mark end of this row for neck edge.
Row 4-SHORT ROW: Ch 1, sc in 10 sc; turn.
Row 5: Ch 1, sc in first 10 sc, sc in top of ch-3
two rows below; turn – 11 sc.
Row 6: Ch 3, skip first sc, dc in each sc across;
turn.
Rep Rows 3-6 until piece fits around neck of purchased top, end
Row 6. Fasten off.
CUFFS (Make 2): Ch 7.
Row 1 (Right Side): Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across;
turn – 6 sc.
Row 2: Ch 3, skip first sc, dc in each sc across;
turn.
Row 3: Ch 1, sc in each dc across and in top of
ch-3; turn.
Rows 4 and 5: Ch 1, sc in each sc across; turn.
Rep Rows 2-5 until cuff measures same as bottom of sleeve slightly
stretched. Fasten off.
FINISHING-Collar: Sew short ends together. With
seam at center of back neck of top, sew in place.
Cuffs: Sew short ends together. Sew to edge of
sleeve. Fold up; tack in place.
