MODA DEA™ "Aerie", Art. R108 (1.76 ounce/68 yard ball): 6 (7, 8, 10) Balls No. 9788 Pink.

Knitting Needles: 5mm [US 8] and 6mm [US 10].
Yarn needle; cable needle.

GAUGE: 16 sts = 4"; 23 rows = 4" in St st. CHECK YOUR GAUGE. Use any size needles to obtain the gauge.

To Fit: 30-32 (34-36, 38-40, 42-44)".
Finished Bust: 32 (36, 40, 44)".

CABLE PAT (Worked over 10 sts):
Rows 1, 3, 5, 9, 11 (Right Side): Knit.
Row 2 and every wrong side row: Purl.
Row 7: Sl next 5 sts onto cable needle and hold at back of work, K5, then K5 from cable needle.
Row 12: Purl.
Rep Rows 1-12 for Cable pat.


BACK: With smaller needles, cast on 64 (72, 80, 88) sts. Work in K1, P1 ribbing for 1 1/4". Change to larger needles and work in St st, beg K row, until 13" from beg, end P row.

Shape Armholes: Bind off 3 (4, 5, 6) sts at beg of next 2 rows – 58 (64, 70, 76) sts. Dec 1 st at each end of every right side row 5 (6, 7, 8) times – 48 (52, 56, 60) sts. Work even until 19 1/2 (20, 20 1/2, 21)" from beg, end P row.

Shape Shoulders: Bind off 3 (4, 5, 5) sts at beg of next 2 rows. Bind off 3 sts at beg of next 4 rows – 30 (32, 34, 38) sts.

Collar: Change to smaller needles and work in K1, P1 ribbing for 3 1/2". Bind off loosely in ribbing.


FRONT: With smaller needles, cast on 68 (76, 84, 92) sts. Work in K1, P1 ribbing for 1 1/4". Change to larger needles and St st, placing Cable pat as follows:

Row 1 (Right Side): K28 (32, 36, 40), P1, work Cable Pat Row 1 across next 10 sts, P1, K28 (32, 36, 40).
Row 2: P28 (32, 36, 40), K1, work Cable Pat Row 2 across next 10 sts, K1, P28 (32, 36, 40).
Cable pat is now in position. Continue as established, working appropriate row of Cable pat until 13" from beg, end wrong side row.

Shape Armholes: Bind off 3 (4, 5, 6) sts at beg of next 2 rows – 62 (68, 74, 80) sts. Dec 1 st at each end of every right side row 5 (6, 7, 8) times – 52 (56, 60, 64) sts. Work even until 19 1/2 (20, 20 1/2, 21)" from beg, end P row.

Shape Shoulders: Bind off 3 (4, 5, 5) sts at beg of next 2 rows. Bind off 3 sts at beg of next 4 rows – 34 (36, 38, 42) sts.

Collar: Change to smaller needles and work as follows:

Next Row (Right Side): P0 (1, 0, 0), [K1, P1] 6 (6, 7, 8) times, work appropriate row of Cable pat, [P1, K1] 6 (6, 7, 8) times, P0 (1, 0, 0).

Next Row: K0 (1, 0, 0), [P1, K1] 6 (6, 7, 8) times, work appropriate row of Cable pat, [K1, P1] 6 (6, 7, 8) times, K0 (1, 0, 0).

Rep last 2 rows for 3 1/2". Bind off loosely in pat.


FINISHING: Sew collar and shoulder seams. Sew side seams.
