given.
TO CHANGE COLOR IN SC: With current color, draw
up a lp in last st, drop color in use; with next color to be used,
yo and draw through 2 lps on hook.
TO CHANGE COLOR IN DC: With current color, yo
and draw up a lp in last st, yo and draw through 2 lps, drop color
in use; with next color to be used, yo and draw through 2 lps on
hook.
STRIPE PAT:
1 Row CA. 1 Row CB. 1 Row CC.
Rep last 3 rows for Stripe pat.
Note: Do not cut yarn at end of row, but carry
loosely up the side of the work until required.
With CA, ch 32.
Row 1 (Right Side): (Sc, ch 4, dc) all in 2nd
ch from hook, skip next 2 ch; * (sc, ch 4, dc) all in next ch
– shell made; skip next 2 ch; rep from *
to last ch; sc in last ch changing to CB; turn.
Row 2: Ch 5, * shell in next ch-4 sp; rep from
* to last sp; sc in last sp, ch 3, dc in last sc changing to CC;
turn.
Row 3: Ch 1, sc in first dc, ch 4, dc in next
ch-3 sp, * shell in next ch-4 sp; rep from * to last ch-5 sp; sc
in last sp changing to CA; turn.
Rep Rows 2 and 3 for pat while keeping continuity of Stripe pat
until approximately 54" from beg, end pat Row 3. Fabric should
measure approximately 15" x 54".
FINISHING: With right side facing, fold short
edge over to long edge, having the first st of the last row meet
the last st of the first row. Stitch in place.
Neck and Lower Edgings: With wrong side facing,
working over row ends, join CC in any sp on edge;
ch 1, * work a shell in each sp around; join with a sl st to first
sc. Fasten off. Weave in ends.
