MODA DEA® "Tiara", Art. R110 (1.76 ounce/46 yard ball): 4 (5, 6) Balls No. 4932 Red Hot CC.
TLC® "Essentials™", Art. E514 (6 ounce/326 yd skein): 4 (5, 6) Skeins No. 2112 Black MC.

Knitting Needles: 8mm [US 11] and 6mm [US 10].
Yarn needle; one 1 1/8" button; sewing needle and thread.

GAUGE: 11 sts = 4"; 14 rows = 4" in pat on larger needles. CHECK YOUR GAUGE. Use any size needles to obtain the gauge.

Finished Bust: 38 1/2 (44 1/2, 50 1/2)"- without band.

PATTERN NOTES:
CA = 2 strands of MC held together.
CB = 1 strand each of MC and CC held together.
Slip all sts purlwise with yarn held on WS of work.

BACK-PAT: Rows 1 and 3 (RS): With CA, K. Rows 2 and 4: With CA, P. Rows 5 and 6: With CB, K5, * sl 4, K4; rep from * to last st; K1. Rows 7-10: Rep Rows 1-4. Rows 11 and 12: With CB, K1, sl 4, * K4, sl 4; rep from * to last st; K1.
Rep Rows 1-12 for pat.

With CA and smaller needles, cast on 54 (62, 70) sts. K 4 rows. Change to larger needles, and work in pat until 2" from beg, end WS row. Keeping continuity of pat, shape waist by dec 1 st at each end of next row, then every 4th row twice – 48 (56, 64) sts. Work 11 rows even. Inc 1 st each end of next row, then every 4th row twice more – 54 (62, 70) sts. Work even until 12" from beg, end WS row.
Shape Armholes: Bind off 6 (7, 9) sts at beg of next 2 rows – 42 (48, 52) sts. Work even until 20 (20 1/2, 21 1/2)" from beg, end WS row.
Shape Shoulders: Bind off 4 (4, 5) sts at beg of next 4 rows, then 3 (5, 5) sts at beg of next 2 rows. Bind off rem 20 (22, 22) sts.


LEFT FRONT-PAT: Rows 1-4: Work same as back. Row 5: With CB, K1, * sl 4, K4; rep from * to last 1 (5, 1) sts; [sl 4] 0 (1, 0) time, K1. Row 6: With CB, K5 (1, 5), sl 4, * K4, sl 4; rep from * to last st; K1. Rows 7-10: Rep Rows 1-4. Row 11: Rep Row 6. Row 12: Rep Row 5.
Rep Rows 1-12 for pat.

With smaller needles and CA, cast on 26 (30, 34) sts. K 4 rows. Change to larger needles, and work in pat until 2" from beg, end WS row. Keeping continuity of pat, shape waist by dec 1 st at beg of next row, then every 4th row twice – 23 (27, 31) sts. Work 11 rows even. Inc 1 st at beg of next row, then every 4th row twice more – 26 (30, 34) sts. Work even until 12" from beg, end WS row.

Shape Armhole: Bind off 6 (7, 9) sts at beg of next row – 20 (23, 25) sts. Work even until 18 (18 1/2, 19 1/2)" from beg, end RS Row.
Shape Neck/Shoulder: Bind off 5 (6, 6) sts at neck edge. Work 1 row. Bind off 2 sts at neck edge. Dec 1 st at neck edge on next 2 RS rows AND AT THE SAME TIME when armhole measures same as back to shoulder, bind off 4 (4, 5) sts at shoulder edge twice, then 3 (5, 5) sts once.


RIGHT FRONT-PAT: Rows 1-4: Work same as back. Row 5: With CB, K5 (1, 5), sl 4, * K4, sl 4; rep from * to last st; K1. Row 6: With CB, K1, * sl 4, K4; rep from * to last 1 (5, 1) sts; [sl 4] 0 (1, 0) time, K1. Rows 7-10: Rep Rows 1-4. Row 11: Rep Row 6. Row 12: Rep Row 5.
Rep Rows 1-12 for pat.

With CA and smaller needles, cast on 26 (30, 34) sts. K 4 rows. Change to larger needles, and work in pat while reversing shaping of waist, armhole, neck and shoulder as for left front.


SLEEVES: With CA and smaller needles, cast on 30 sts. K every row until 3" from beg. Change to larger needles and work in pat same as for back, shaping sides by inc 1 st each end of every 4th row 0 (0, 7) times, then every 6th row 0 (4, 4) times, then every 8th row 6 (4, 0) times, then every 10th row 1 (0, 0) times – 44 (46, 52) sts. Work even until 22 (21 3/4, 21 1/2)" from beg, end WS row. Bind off.


FINISHING-Neck Band: Sew shoulder seams. With RS facing, CA, and smaller needles, pick up and K52 (56, 56) sts around neck edge. K every row for 1 1/4". Bind off.
Button Band: With RS facing, CA, and smaller needles, pick up and K64 (66, 68) sts evenly along left front edge including neckband. K every row for 1 1/4". Bind off.
Buttonhole Band: With RS facing, CA, and smaller needles, pick up and K64 (66, 68) sts evenly along right front edge. K 2 rows. Mark for buttonhole 1/2" down from neck edge. Next Row: K to marker, bind off 2 sts, K to end. Next Row: K, casting on 2 sts over bound-off sts. Continue to K every row until band measures 1 1/4". Bind off.
Sew sleeve and side seams. Set in sleeves. Sew button to match buttonhole. Weave in yarn ends.
