Scarf measures approximately 7" wide x 64" long.
Hat fits most women.
TLC® "Essentials®", Art. E514
(6 ounce/326 yard solid color, 4.5 ounce/255 yard multi-color skein):
1 Skein No. 2533 Dark Plum CA for hat.
Knitting Needles: 8mm [US 11] for scarf. Double-pointed Knitting Needles: 5.5mm [US 9] for
hat.
Yarn needle; stitch marker.
GAUGES: 10 sts = 4"; 12 rows = 4" in
Garter stitch (knit every row) with larger needles for scarf. 16
sts = 4"; 20 rnds = 4" in St st with smaller needles for
hat. CHECK YOUR GAUGE. Use any size needles to obtain the
gauges.
Hat Circumference: 20".
SCARF
With larger needles for scarf and CC, cast on
18 sts loosely. Marking the first row as the right side, work in
Garter st (Knit every row) for 64". Bind off loosely.
Weave in ends.
HAT
With smaller double-pointed needles and CB, cast
on 80 sts, dividing sts as evenly as possible on 3 needles. Join
for working in the rnd, and place marker to indicate the beg of
the rnd.
K 1 rnd, then P every rnd until piece measures 5 1/2" from
beg.
Change to CA and K every rnd for 4".
